How Do I Use Grocery iQ®?

  • How do I use Grocery iQ®?

    The most effective way to utilize Grocery iQ is to add items that you purchase frequently to your Favorites by clicking "+" from the Favorites tab and selecting items to build your list. You can then quickly add items to your Lists by selecting items from the Favorites tab. Just tap the circle next to each item in your Favorites and click "Add to List."

    Add one-time purchase items that aren't in your Favorites directly to your lists from the List tab.

    When you're at the store, check items off your list by tapping on the items to keep track of what you've placed in your cart. When you tap "Checkout," the items you've checked off will be moved to your History and cleared from your list! The items you have not checked off will remain on your list so that you will know what you still need to purchase.

  • What Android device do you support?

    Grocery iQ App is currently compatible with Android mobile phone and tablet versions 2.2 and up.

Creating Grocery Lists

  • Where can I find the Shopping Lists to choose from?

     Go to the Lists tab and choose a shopping list for which you want to add new items. Then, tap the "+" button at the bottom of the screen. Begin typing the name of an item to start browsing the available selection

  • How do I scan a barcode?

    From your list, tap the "+" button with the barcode image at the bottom of the screen. The camera view will appear. Line up your phone with the product barcode using the on-screen guides. The camera will then automatically capture the barcode. Note: you can continue scanning more barcodes or tap the "Done" button.

    If the item is in Grocery iQ's product database, the product name will be displayed. If you are unable to scan the barcode, you can select the "Done" button and type in the product's UPC code numbers instead. The UPC is usually listed right below the barcode on the product. NOTE: the compatibility to scan barcode is based on the level of resolution on camera phones. If not high enough, the scan barcode option may not be available.

  • How to create a new shopping list?

    You can create different grocery lists for different stores. To create a new list, tap on the "Shopping Lists" option at the top of page. Next, tap the "+" button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Add an item to specific shopping list?

    To add an item for a specific shopping list, go to the shopping list. Then, tap the "+" button at the bottom of screen to find and add the desired item.

  • How to move an item to a different shopping list?

    If you've already added an item to an individual shopping list or the "All List Items", you can move it to a different shopping list. Tap on the item (without checking off list), and you will be taken to the "Edit Item" screen. Tap the "List" cell and select the shopping list you want to move the specific item to.

  • How do I view a different shopping list?

     To view a different shopping list, go to the Shopping Lists screen. This will display all the stores that have been added to your Grocery iQ. Tap the specific shopping list displayed in the "My Lists" options to view the list.

  • Can I assign an item to multiple shopping lists?

    No. However, you can add an item to your "All List Items" list.

  • What does the "Show List Items Only" setting do?

     The specific list that you are viewing will only display the assigned items to the list. For an example let's say this setting is turned on for one of the shopping list you've created, "Drug Store". When viewing the "Drug Store" list, only items that have been specifically assigned to this shopping list will be displayed. If the setting is turned off, you will see both items that have been specifically assigned to this shopping list AND items assigned to "All List Items".

     To turn the option on or off, go to the Shopping Lists screen. Tap a specific shopping list and tap the option to edit the list (pencil). Check the "Show List Items Only" to turn on or uncheck to turn off.

  • How do I change the order of the aisles?

     To change the aisle layout for a shopping list, go to the Shopping Lists screen. Tap a specific shopping list and tap the option to edit the list – ‘pencil' icon. In the "AISLES" section, tap the "Add or Reorder Aisles" button. Any aisle can be moved up or down by sliding the name of the aisle in the desired direction.

  • Can I use my voice to create shopping lists?

     You can use your voice to add items to your shopping list. To do this, select the ‘microphone' icon at the bottom of screen. Wait for the prompt, speak your item name. The item name should appear in the search list on screen. Select the item you want and it will be added to your list.

Sharing your List

  • Nothing happens when I tap the email button.

     To share a Grocery iQ shopping list, make sure that the email application on your device is able to send email messages. It is required to have at least one email account set up on the device. Tap on the ‘email' icon at the bottom of the screen. Select the specific list that you would like to send and the items' criteria – all items; unchecked items; or checked items. Tap the ‘email' icon at the top right-side of the screen and complete the email process. If you continue to have problems, email Grocery iQ support at

  • How do I import an emailed list into my Grocery iQ®?

    Emailed lists cannot be imported into Grocery iQ. In order to share your list so that someone else can use it on his or her own Grocery iQ account, the requirement is to sync the list(s).

  • How do I sync my lists with another device?

     Log into your Grocery iQ account by tapping on the "three dots" icon at the bottom of screen, and selecting "My Account". Tap on the "three dots" icon at the bottom of the screen to display the options list. Tap on "Sync List" option.

    Any changes you make to your lists on one device will be applied at the account level, such that if you log into the same account on another device, you will see the updated changes there automatically. Therefore, you need to have completed the "List Sharing" option with another user.

Saving with Coupons

  • How do I send coupons to my email account?

    Go to the Coupons tab and "clip" coupons from the Coupons gallery. Then, select the "email envelope" at the bottom of the screen. Enter the email address to which you want to send the coupons. The email will contain instructions on how to print the coupons.

  • How do I save coupons to my Savings Card?

    Log into your Grocery iQ account. In the Coupons tab, select "Savings Card" from the "Coupons" drop-down list at top of screen. Then, tap the "+" on the coupons you would like to add to card. Note: an eligible Savings Card is required to be added to your account.

  • How do I add a Savings Card to my account?

    Log into your Grocery iQ account by tapping on the "three dots" icon at the bottom of screen, and selecting "My Account". If you do not have a account, select "Register New User" and create an account. - Once you are logged in, select "Savings Cards" from the options list ("three dots" icon). From there, tap the "+" to add Savings Cards from the list of eligible stores.

  • How do I find my Savings Card number?

    Contact the specific retail store's customer support to confirm any information on your Savings Card.

  • How do I get a Savings Card?

     Contact any eligible retail store's customer support (directly at store; phone; or website) for specific information on obtaining their loyalty card.

Changing Your Settings

  • How do I change Grocery iQ® settings?

    Tap on the "three dots" icon at the bottom of the screen to display the options list. Select "Settings".

  • I turned off the in-app Help feature. How do I turn it back on?

    Go to Settings, then switch "Show Help Again" to "ON."
